Free Press Photo Eighth basebali season opens 10 a.m. Saturday Presidcnt of the Whitby Basebali Association Don Kennedy reports that things are A set for Saturday for Whitby's traditional "Opening Day" ceremionies to kick off another basebaîl season, the eighth/for the W.M.B.A. which stacted back in 1969. The day's events will start with a parade of the association players leading off frorn Kinsmen Park on Walnut St. at 10 a.m. The parade, under the direction of Parade Marshall Alex Fillier will be led by the Whitby Brass Band under the direction of Stan Red- fern and will pass throughi the downtown area to Trent St. and east on Trent to Peel Park. At Peel, the traditional openîng cerernonies will be hel d involving municipal figures.
