A copy of the By-law is furnished herewith. A note giving an explanation of the purpose and effect of the By-lawand stating the lands affected thereby is also furnished herewith. Any person interested may, within fourteen (14) days after the date of this notice, send by registered mail or deliver to the Clerk of the Town of Whitby notice of his objection to approval of the said By-law together with a statement of the grounds of such objection. Any person wishing to support the application for approval of the By-law may within fourteen (14) days after the date of this notice, send by registered mail -r deliver to the Clerk of the Town of Whitby notice of his support of approval to the said By-law together with a request for notice of any Hearing that may be held giving also the name and address to which such notice should be given. The Ontario Municipal Board may approve of the said By-law but before doing so it may appoint a time and place when any objection to the By-law will be considered. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED and it is hereby enacted as a By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Whitby by the Council thereof as follows: - 1. That paragraph (d) of Section 6, sub-section (7) of By-law No. 2585 is hereby repealed and replaced by the following: - "6. (7) (d) The provisions of paragraph (a) of said subsection (7) shall not apply to: - (i) any lots or blocks fronting upon any of the streets on the following registred Plans of Subdivision, namely: - Plan M-926, Plan M-927, Plan M-928, Plan M-9.28' Plan M-1005 and Plan M-1013; (ii)any lots or blocks fronting on a cul-de-sac street having a minimum width of at least 60 feet and laid out and established on any Plan of Subdivision registered on or after January lst, 1975. 2. Redmen Lacrosse registration tryouts The Whitby Minor Lacrosse Association is holding registra- tion for the upcoming season in the municipal building at 405 Dundas Street West on April 3 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration fees for boys five to 19 are $6 per player or $12 per family, the same as last year. To allow for the development )' any lots or blocks fronting upon any of the streets contained on the following registered Plans of Subdivision, namely: Plan.M926, Plan M927, Plan M-928, Plan M-958, begin Tryouts for the Brooklin Redmen of the Ontario Lacrosse Association Major 'A' series begin tonight at St. Joseph's Public School on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa from 7 to 9 p.m. Anyone who is interested in playing for the team should attend tonight's session or sessions on April 6 from 8:30 to 10:30, April 8 from 7 to 9, April 13 from 8:30 to 10:30 or April 15 from 7 to 9 at the school. The team, disbanded in 1973, returns to the five-team league and will play 24 games against Brampton, Fergus, Owen Sound and Six Nations beginning May 8. Home games will be played Saturday nights at Brooklin Arena. Don Craggs will coach the team with assistance from Elmer Tran and Dave Houston. All three are former Redmen and-the latter two hope to play this year. Another former Redmen, Mike Gray, has been appoint- ed general manager while the duties of manager will be handled by Gary Sorichetti. The Redmen have signed their first player -- Pete Vipond, who was captain of the Junior 'A' Oshawa Green Gaels during their glory days and, more recently, captain of the Ontario Hockey Association Senior 'A' Whitby Warriors this past season.
