They will grow ai-d flower well in any location where they can receive lots of sunshine. The ideal spot for roses is ah area shaded f>ïom the hot afternoon sun and sieltered from the coki wintry winds. Roses should be plan ted ine, a rich, wel-drained Ioam. However, your garden soil doesn't need to be perfect to success- fully grow roses. Most soils can be improved to the point where roses will grow andl flower Vigorously with the addition of humus and fertilIizer. Roses can be planted in the spring or fail except in areas which experience extremely cold winters. In those areas, spring planting is best. Fal planted roses should not severely as those planted in the spring. Plant the rosebushes as soon after acquiring them as possible. Hybrid Tea ro"es are by far the most popular and widely planted roses.
