Together with the right of The Regional Municipality of Durham, its successors, and assigns and its and their servants, agents and workmen with ail necessary equipment to enter upon the said lands at all times and to pass and repass thereon for the purposes of constructing, examining repairing, renewing and maintaining the said sanitary trunk sewér works.including a sanitary sewer pipe and other accessory works or any part of the sewer system of The Regional Municipality of Durham, whether or not the parts to be so con- structed, repaired, renewed or maintained be situate on the lands above described. NOVICE After opening their best- of-three series with a 4-1 victory, Dominion Caulking scored a narrow 6-5 decision over Pickering to take the series in two games. The locals never trailed in the second contest as they got goals from Shane Kingston Bill Kellestine, Doug McCork- ell, Steve Vandeburgt, David McWhirter and 'Chris Lee. Todd Laroche, with three, Mike Burns and Scott Cruickshank replied for the losers. Dominion Caulking will meet Bay Ridges-in the next round of the playoffs. MINOR ATOM The Whitby Mall Florists lead their best-of-three se-ies with Bay Ridges 1-0 after a recent 8-5 win. Joey Nieuwendyk scored a hattrick for the -winners who got two goals by Mark Farrell and singles by Dave Sachko, Gary Roberts and- Joey McCullough. Tom Reid, 'with three, Brian Bauldry and Curt Cameron replied for the losers. MAJOR ATOM Brooklin Concrete Products suffered a heart-breaktng 7-6 overtime loss to Bay Ridges in the first game of their best-of-three series. The winning goal by Pat Shore was scored with 13 seconds remaining in overtime. Pat Shore, Curt lengst and Mitch Turner each scored twice for the winners who got a single by Rodger Gale. John Schell and Jeff Hanley, with two each, Martin Van Kessell and Andre Cadieux replied for Brooklin who had held a 5-2 lead at the end of the second period. In an exhibition contest, Brooklin fought to a 3-3 tie with Oshawa as Rod Collins, Andre Cadieux and Terry Dupuis scored for the former and Jeff Madill, with two, and Gord Greer for the latter. MAJOR PEEWEE The Lasco Steelers won the group final by eliminating Bay Ridges 3-0. The Steelers won the second garne 8-4 on two -goal performances by Warren Subject, Stu Catterall -,nd 'ohn Fusco and singles by Billy Eyre and Dave l3laç- quiere. Kevin Stanko, with two, Rich McDonald and Bob Graham replied for the losers. The locals took the final contest 5-2 as Warren Subject scored four times and Todd Chasezewski once. Craig Kitcheiner got both of the losers' goals. The Steelers now advance to the quarter finals against Trenton. O'Neill Collegiate MAJOR BANTAM In a Lakeshore extended season contest for teams eliminated in the first round of playoffs, Iroquois Pro Centre dropped a 6-4 decision to Lindsay who got two-goal efforts by John Lucas, Brian Bateman and Dave Derusha. Keith Wilson, Ed Derks, Gilbert Nieuwendyk and Paul Hunt replied for the losers who led 3-1 after the secon.d period. MAJOR MIDGET Ferrco Engineering lead their best-of-five series with Ajax 2-1. In the second game, Ajax edged, the locals 4-3 on two goals by Kelly Mitchell and singles by Larry Gregerson and Ward Palmer. Dari Kemp, Al McDonald and Blair Gibson replied for the losers. In the third contest, played before the largest crowd of the season, Ferreo Engineering, dumped Ajax 5-1 on two goals by John Jordan and- singles by Blair Gibson, Marty Gallas and Dan Kemp. Paul Gilbert fired the losers' lone goal. Table tennis tournament in Oshawa on Saturday The Oshawa Open Table Tennis Championships will be held Saturday March 6 at O'Neill Collegiate on Simcoe Street North. LUNDY, CLERK NOTES: 1 The Expropriations Act, R.S.O., 1970 provides that: (a) Where an inquiry is requested, it shall be conducted by an inquiry officer appointed by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General; (b) The inquiry officer, (i) Shall give every party of the inquiry an opportunity to present evi- deace and argument and to examine and cross-examine witnesses, either personally or by his counsel or agent, and (ii) May recommend to the approving authority that a party to the inquiry bepaid a fixed amount far his costs of the inquiry not to exceed $200.00 and the approving authority may in its discretion order the expropriating authority to pay such costs forthwith. 2. "Owner" and "registered owner" are defined in the Act as follows: "owner" includes a mortgagee, tenant, execution creditor, a person entitled to a limited estate or interest in land, a committee of the estate of a mentally incorn- petent person or of a person incapable of managing bis affairs, and a guardian, executor, administrator or trustee in whorn land is vested; "registered owner" means an owner of land whose interest in the land is definined and whose name is specified in an instrument in the property registry, land titles or sheriff's office, and includes a person shown as a tenant of land on the last revised assessment roll; 3. The expropriating authority, each owner who notifies the approving authority that he desires a hearing in respect of the lands intended to be expropriated and any owner added as a party by the inquiry officer are parties to the inquiry.
