Brooklin, 655-4991 Sponsors needed f or Y day camps The sumnier belongs to chilclren, and the Whitby YMCA, through the Camp Sponsorshlp Fund, is trying to ruake sure that every child in the community has the opportunity to have a mcem- orable vacation. The Camp Sponsorship Fund is a seheme through which industries, clubs and individuals are asked to offer financial support to childrcn who would flot normally be able to attend camp. Child- ren in need of this service are referred to the Yby the Re- gional Social Service & Public ljealth Departnients. The sponsored children wiIl attend one of the four Y Day Camps for a two-week pcriod and participate in a full range of camp activities. Last year, the Y Sponsorship, Fund made camp a reality for 50 referred children. This year, with your support, ve hope to increase this num ber. If you would like to hielp make a child's summer more enjoyable and intcresting, cail the Whitby YMCA at 668-6868.
