COURTICE Bloor St. East Sunday 0[s Day of Prayer Canadian Council of Churches has declared Sun- day, May 18, as a National Day of Prayer for Multiple Sclerosis. On- this day churches across Canada will join in prayer and special services for the disease that cripples an estimated 25,000 Canadians. In support of the day of prayer, churches are asked to contact local chapters of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada for special Sunday programs printed and pro- vided'free of charge. Educa- tion material is also available from the chapters. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system. As yet there is no cure. It is a chronic, often progressive disease, that fre- quently makes its first appearance in adults between the ages of 20 and 40. In addition to being a day of prayer, May 18 falls within the month from Mother's Day to Father's Day set aside for the Society's annual educational and financial campaign. During the month, local chapters wil strengthen their efforts to stimulate awareness and concern for persons suffering this disease of unknown origins. Business Management Seminar Tuesday in Ajax A business management j seminar primarily for people interested in small business I will be held in Ajax at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 322, I1 Hunt Street on Tuesday, May 6, 1975. Arranged by the Advisory Services Department of the Industrial Development Bank in co-operation with The Ajax Chamber of Commerce, the seminar will be one of several hundred conducted by the Bank in smaller cities and towns across Canada.
