There was no seoring in the first period of the game as both teams held their own. Things picked up for Whit- by in the second period as Lois Pitre, Barb Boyes and Robynn lbbitson collected singles. Barb Boyes added the fin- ai two goals in the third peri- od giving her a hattrick for the night. Brookliln Loses Tournament The Brooklin Concrete Major Atom Alîstars lost out in a recent tournarnent in Newmarket., Brooklin defeated Aurora 2-1 in their first garnie. The two tearns were tied at one after regulation time with Paul Rich notching Brooklin's goal. However, Danny Garrard scored for Brooldin in a shootout to give his team the victory. In the second game, Brooklin suffered a 5-3 de- feat at the hands of Lindsay. Dave Shippel scored a hat- trick for the winners with Rob Doyle coliecting a pair. Derek Kotyluk, with two and Jeff Donaldson replied for the losers. Lacrosse Associaotion Begins Rais*ing Funds The Garrard Road Minor Lacrosse Association will be holding a fund-raising dance at the Oshawa Y.M.C.A. on March 8. Tickets are $6 per couple and there will be lunch, door prizes and bar privileges. The association will set up registration desks at Brookiin arena and St. Pauls school between 6 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. Fees are $3 per player and $6 per famly and ail persons from areas having no organized la- crosse are welcomne.
