Their first game against Peterboro was a real cliff hanger. At the end of regu- lar time, the score was tied at 2. Both C.B.C. goals were scored by Ed Szczur. At the end of the 10 min- ute sudden death overtime the score was still tied. Both teams then had to pick three players to take penalty shots. Each team scored once in their.first three attempts with Dave Sorichetti scoring for the C.B.C.'s. Each team had to take a total of 12 penalty shots with B.W.'s Glenn Atkinson scor- ing the winner to give the team a 4-3 victory. in their second game they easily outclassed their op- ponents from Brampton pick- ing up a 5-0 victory on goals by Tini Brown, Tom Foster, Paul -Johnston, Dan Jordan and Ed Szczur. B.W. goalie Tom Connelly was knocked unconcious ear- ly in the game but came back to make several key saves to earn the shut-out. This win put the C.B.C.'s into the "A" Championship against Belleville who event- ually became the champions on the strength of a 2-1 vic- tory. The C.B.C's held a 1-0 lead going into the third peri- od but the Belleville boys never gave up and tied the score and then the winner.
