Mr. Thornhill, fromrr the ministry, told Whitby Coun- cil, at a recent meeting, that the grant applies to the con- struction of a centre or renov,î.tion of an existing structure to meet thé needs of the elderly. However, if council de'- cides to take the latter route, the building must meet certain conditions before the ministry will provide fin- ancial assistance.
