In Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) Senior "A" a tie at the end of 3 periods of play sends both teams into over time action. Action it was as the McDon- alds tried to make up for their lack of play in the third perîod. It was end to end play as each teamn tried desperateiy for the game win- ner. but both net minders made remarkabie saves, Bruce Durno for the Mac's and John McWilliams for the Hornets, holding for the tie after 10 minutes of overtime play. The first period saw Cam- bridge take the lead with Cliff Stuart scoring the first goal at 5:17. Whitby's Gary Milroy tied it up at 7:47, the Hornets Bih Hway put the score of the period in the net at 13:39. Witby's Mike Keenan put on the best single effort of the night getting two assists and a goal, along with Doug Tate who was set up by Kee- nan put two into the net giv- ing the Mac's the lead 4- 2. After a scoreless first frame, the C.B.C.'s struck early in the second on a goal by Jim DeMille. Not to be out donc the Oshawa team applied the pressure and while playing a mani short, got the equalizer on a fine effort by Ed Kiberd. This was followcd shortly by a power play goal scored by Brad Staley, giving Oshawa a 1 goal edge going into the final period.
