Burritt, 23, won the final race of the.Bulova Champion- ship at Mosport a week ago Saturday, and with it the series championship. Luke De Sadeleer, 1972 Bulova Champion, was a single point ahead of Burritt going into the seventh and closing race with nobody else within range. With a $7 ,500 racing scholarship provided by the Ont- ario Region of the Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs going to the winner of the series, with the championship going to whichever of the two finished highest, it was bound to be some race. De Sadeleer, driving a Victor Titan, won second grid position with a win in his qualifying heat, and Burritt in a Sandalwood Titan, was on the second row of the grid after finishing second in his heat. Clive Rayman of Toronto, on the pole position after bis heat win, led the race for the first two laps, then De Sadeleer took over, with Burritt third. B>' the sixth lap Burritt had charged into the lead and neyer relinquished it for the remaining 14 laps of the 20-lap event. .The order at the finish was Burritt, Rayman,and De Sadeleer. Burr itt picked up 20 points for his win to bring his season points total to an even 100. De Sadeleer received 12 points for his third place finish, to end the season close behind with 93. The win was Burritt's fourth of the season. De Sadeleer had -won the opening race in April and had gained his re- maining points through consistently high finishes. Lambke tied with Lowe in the points standings but because Lowe has won more races this season he was awarded the championship.
