Reed, the show is so popular that eacb performance is a sellout and hundreds of fans have been turned away in such centres as Regina, Winnipeg, Brandon, Saskatoon, Quebec City, Montreal, Cowansville, Windsor, Toronto, Cornwall and also in Oshawa when tbey played here for tbe Knights of Columbus. he Carlton Show Band bas a very large following due PRIX BALL to their exposure on national television with the Pig and Wbistle Show and the many concert dates they have played to capacity crowds in major cities across Canada. The concert show portion is fantastic, continued Mr. Reed, it's a "clap - your - hands - do - a - jig - kind - of - join - in deal" that has everyone in the audience participat- ing. The band gives top value for the entertainment dollar with no slackening of pace. Just one tune after another, Irish, sacred, country and western, comedy and excellent contemporary music for dancing. The Canltons have made at least four RCA albums including such bits as "We're off to Dublin in the Green, Waitress, Waitress, Old Bog Road, 1 Believe, Old Johnny Bueko, My Love Loves Me and Don't SeOI Daddy Anymore Whiskey." These and many more, plus some side splitting comedy routines, are included in the concert. The eight man band includes six lrishmen from the "auld sod" and two who confess to being Irish No-va Scotians. Ail are excellent musicians and polished perform- ers in song and comedy routines. It's an ail family show, said Mr. Reed, with prices scaled at $3.00 each for viewing the show from the seating section, and $5.00 each for admission, to the floor area of the auditorium which includes a table reservation and dancing. Full bar facilities are available in both sections of the auditorium. Mr. Reed strongly urged those who requfre table reservations to contact the Chamber office quickly for the best selection.
