That d a t e, along with other details of the convention, was set this week by f orty executive members from ail sec- tions of the federal district which runs from Lake Ontario to Lake Simcoe. It is expec ted th a t more than seven hundredvoting delegateswill play a part in selecting their candidate for the fed- eral election expected this spring. The meeting wil1 be held in Uxbridge. A number of prospective candidates have already lndicatød an interest in the nom- in a tion race. Area Conservatives are conf idant they will reverse the 2900 vote deficit of the last election. Ontario Federal Riding is based on the Townships of Pickering, Whitby, Uxbridge, Reach, Scugog and Scott in Ontario County and the new municipal- i t y of Georgina in York County. For the past numb9r of years Henry's drama club has played to overflow audiences with such playsas "David and Lisa", "The Cruc- ible" and "Splendour in the Grass". Under the able direction of Mr. N. T a g gart and Mr. I. Bol ton, the drama c 1 u b members are now in various sta- ges of production. Members of the cast have been chosen, and are now rehear- sing. I T h e M i r acle Worker " is the true story of Helen Kelfler adapted for stage. The very difficult part of the bl ind Helen will be portrayed by Susan Keys. Hel- en t s friend and teacher, Annie Sulli- van is in reality, Yvonne Butlan. Oth er members of the cast include: Char 1ie Gauthier - Captain Keller, C ar ol Sutton - Kate, Garth Hardie - James, Kim Cyr - Aunt Eve, Sean Mc- Quay - Percy, Cheryl Martin - Vinney, Dar cy McCreedy - Martha, Jim Marks - doctor, Mike Petrie - Jimmy, Debbie Rudd - servant. While the cast is thus kept occupied, Lyn Sch i eder and Don Rycroft have been involved with the set designing.
