In the early bidding, a box of c hocol1ates went for only $2300. The highest bld came from Mr. 'Gartshore. He b i d $75, 000 for a tray of assorted c o Id eut meats. After winning the bld, M r . G a r tshore donated the tray b.-ack again to be sold for real cash. The bar cl1osed jus t af ter 1:00 and the band fol lowed suit not too long after. The evening came to af inish close to 2:00 a. m. with the last of the party-goers staggering out of the door with trays of saElads'and meats they had successful ly bld on during the evening.
