"1 could not vote to receive and file this motion", the reeve said on coun- cil's action of last week to receive and file Raymond Bibeau's withdrawal from the proposed housing project for sen- ior citizens at Garden and Mary Sts. The project, heavily contested by area ratepayers was withdrawn by the dev- eloper because "delays made it not ec- onomically viable to proceed". Mr. Edwards commented further by sayingthathecouldnot vote on the mot- ion because "this meant a very partial remedy to the problems of inadequate housing. Dur- ing the week of June 29th to July 7th there will be 21 students from Nicolet, Quebec in Ajax. The party is being bil- leted by students from Ontario County. The students from OntarioCounty will be selected in such amanner as to have representation from each high school in the County. In each case the student-groups will have four adulit escorts.
