club once known as the Nationals Rays and Chubb Security and to a degree the Newmarket should provide a level to which young athletes mav aspire once their minor association days are behind them Lnforiunately such is not exactly the case and that fact could be alarming to folk interested in prolonging their playing days in Newmarket not to mention those who would like to see said teams prosper in competi tion While it nice to see that the Newmarket sporting world is involved in such levels of athletic endeavors one must wonder what happens when the current crop Of athletes becomes too old to such competi tions That is where do the replacements come from For example while it is nice to see the Glenn Verge- led fastballers ready to make a comeback how long can one expect this group to continue without the advantage of a feeder or farm system from which to draw players After all is more than that the players involved will be for the most part the same group which placed in Newmarket colors for most of the past decade and more In other words these fellas cannot expect to play forever and one day replacements will be needed if the sport is to have a lengthv future Talent
