Lindsay boy talks to Her Majesty, the Queen

Band Sgt. Melville Scott entered the Infantry Band, Royal 22nd Regt in March of 1935, Permanent Force as a private and was promoted to Band Sergeant in 11939 and proceeded overseas on 8 December of that year. He was trained at the Royal Military School of Music and saw action in the defence of Britain. He continued to take a Bandmaster’s course at RMSM (Kneller Hall).
