Gently-used bras welcome Fall runway show downtown October is breast cancer awareness month and a local lingerie store is asking for donations of gently-used bras in an initiative to help out the Canadian Breast Cancer Society. From Oct. 1-31, Inside Story Fine Lingerie is accepting donations of gently-used bras at its 107 Reynolds St. location -- for every bra donated, the lingerie store will give $1 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society. "We ask that the bras be in very good condition and laundered," said Lida Lisney of Inside Story. "Participating customers will get to write their name on paper bras in the store acknowledging their donation. "At the same time, they will receive 10 per cent of their entire purchase at Inside Story with their donation." The donated bras will in turn be given to St. Christopher House, a Toronto-based community centre with several locations across Toronto, which has a program that assists women who have suffered trauma and/or abuse transition back into the work force with an education and dignity, Lisney said.
