No injuries in house fire Friday on Chartwell Road The Oakville Fire Department is reporting no injuries resulting from a blaze, which broke out in a home in the Chartwell Road/ Lakeshore Road East area, Friday afternoon. Police, fire and paramedics were called to the home at around 1:19 p.m., after a crew doing restoration work inside the house encountered heavy smoke. "We had workers inside the residence and the first indication they had of any problem was smoke coming from an unknown location," said Platoon Chief Tomm Peterdy, of the Oakville Fire Department.
