- Edrick Moir of Lindsay enlisted with the artillery in Peterboro in the spring of 1943. After preliminary training in Canada he went overseas in the summer of the same year, 1943. Shortly after arriving overseas he transferred to the Stormont and Glengarry Highlanders. With this unit he saw action in the battles in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. During the last campaign Gnr. Moir suffered a wound in the right arm which is at present receiving hospital treatment (June 1945).
