Lindsay Airman missing in air operations overseas

Sgt. Pilot Phillip Johnson missing

Official word was received today by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnson, 27 Glenelg St. W. that their son, Pilot Phillip Shuttleworth Johnson is missing during air operations on Sunday May 30.

Description
Sgt. Philip Johnson enlisted with the RCAF in Toronto in January 1941. He received his wings at Hagersville in 1942. Sgt. Phillip Shuttleworth Johnson is a graduate of the LCI and of Peterboro Normal School. Previous to his enlistment he was employed at the Dominion Arsenal, Lindsay. He died on 30 May 1943. He was a Warrant Officer Class II.
