Ontario Ministry the Environment under the Provincial Environmental Assessment Act approved an Individual Environmental Assessment for the extension of Highway The Ontario Ministry of Transportation MTO completed a preliminary design and environmental assessment study for the Highway 404 extension from North of Mount Albert Road to Woodbine Avenue Ravenshoe Road in April The MTO is currently undertaking a Detail Design Study WP for a km segment of this Highway 404 extension from north of Queensville Stderoad to Road see key map The recommended plan includes Construction of approximately 70 km of Highway 404 as a 4lane divided freeway and provision of an interim atgrade intersection at Woodbine Avenue Permanent closure of Holbom Road and construction of culdesacs at the Highway 404 crossing Reconstructionlowenng of Boag Road and construction of twin overpass structures Reconstruction and widening of Woodbine Avenue from the ramp terminal northerly to Ravenshoe Road and reconstruction of the Woodbine Avenue Ravenshoe Road intersection and approaches Construction of an oversized concrete culvert at a tributary of the Maskinonge River north of Queensville Sideroad which will accommodate the passage of wildlife Construction of associated drainage structures and stormwater management ponds Construction of a new commuter carpool lot at Woodbine Avenue with associated illumination and a GO Bus platform Installation of new illumination flashing beacon and traffic signals associated with the freeway termination at Woodbine Avenue Relocationreplacement of existing illumination and traffic signals associated with the reconstruction of the WoodbineRavenshoe intersection Installation of temporary illumination and traffic signals as required for construction staging Installation of partial illumination on Woodbine Avenue at terminals of Highway 404 Application of landscaping and snow drifting treatments as required Relocation of utilities as
