of Fairway Dr which abuts the southern portion of the course told The Era Friday he had not seen the plans but said It sounds alright on the surface Mr James led a delegation that packed a public meeting on the issue of whether the course property should be designated open space or residential under the towns proposed official plan earlier this summer Mr James has an official objection to the redesignation filed with the Ontario Municipal Board He said any plan that would keep residents of Fairway Dr and Kennedy St on the north adjacent to green space could be leasable and credited Highlands owner Joseph Shaw eloping a new scheme both parties would benefit the new development of the golf course would expand through to Bathur St and a link road would pan through the property It would also allow Murray Dr to pass through the course from south to north Originally Mr Shaw had asked council for approval to develop only the front of the course leaving his remaining holdings for a new course site The new plan calls for residential development surrounded by an golf course which will go along KennedySt to looping bade along Fairway Dr to Yonge St The club house facilities will
