controlled by conservation authorities be turned over to the municipalities in which they are located for maintenance and operation The move would mean those holdings in southern York now operated by I I si rgin names new rian tells ByANNSPROULE Era correspondent Queensville veterinarian led the Ontario Humane Society to a Kettleby Arabian stud farm that was raided last March Dr Robert Henderson told a provincial court trial here last week that he called the society regarding conditions at the farm While he had performed services for William Sheets over an eightyear period the veterinarian said he had suspended all but emergency calls because an account remained unpaid The 43yearold Sheets has been charged with neglecting animals at the farm During the third day of the trial last week Dr Henderson udge P he had nized a program to deworm herd of over 100 horses twice year because he found that the problem was animals were doing as well as he had ever seen them He denied that he tried to influence other veterinarians from servicing the Sheets farm but admitted that he told other veterinarians that Sheets owed him money Dr Henderson also denied telling Sheets that if his bill was hot paid he would call the humane society The vet said he and his associate had in fact gone to the farm following of ficial suspension of services to answer emergency caljs and added it was on these visits that he had noticed a deterioration in the Condition of the animals barns and paddocks Dr Henderson said he saw days days of manure indicating that the boxes had not been cleaned out for
