Richmond Hill Auto Body defeated K and L Sports Sunday to win the George Haskett Mens Softball League Tournament Steffan who was named the tourneys most valuable pitcher allowed only two base runners He walked Norm Roberts and Dave McBurney in the fifth inning after setting down the first men in order Steffans nohitter was the third tossed in the tournament K and L pitchers Norm Roberts and Brian also hurled nohitters Roberts was the loser in the championship final He gave up two runs in the first inning on a solo homer by Glen Greenslade two errors and two singles and two more runs in the second on a twoout two run homer by Rob Forget Newhouse then came on in relief and gave up the fifth Richmond Hill run a solo homer by tournament MVP Glen in the fifth York Merchants won the consolation championship edging AW Lee in the final game Winning pitcher Bob who tossed a three- hitter singled to knock in Norm with the games only run in the fourth inning Richmond Hill Auto Body consecutive shutout victories In league action Bill was not sharp manager Glenn Verge said after the game He couldnt get his main pitch the drop over But I guess hes entitled to one bad game However
