officers from womens district associations officers from associa tions and delegates at large Delegates will pay a registration fee of alter nates and observers CONSUMER PROTECTION Financial and Commercial Affairs Minister Bert Lawrence says his department is drafting a plan for reci procal enforcement of consumer law by all the provinces which possibly would be established sometime next year Mr Lawrence made the announcement following the recent Interprovincial Conference on Consumer Affairs which be hosted As far as Ontario is concerned we believe that with the right kind of reciprocal enforcement machinery stop a great number said He also said that the delegates at the conference agreed that it is in the best interest of all Canadians for matters was established This committee met in Winnipeg Dec 14 and to deal with the technical aspects of imple menting the principles established by the conference The conference also discussed cutoff and disclaimer clauses in consumer said be hopes the welcome success of the conference will lead to a second one perhaps next fall theme of the threeday annual conference formerly call ed Farmers Week to be held at the Ontario Agricultural College Jan 5 and according to Agriculture Minister national marketing boards the impact of imports on agri culture the quality of foods and the nutritional problems facing modern society as well as a review of the dairy Industry A concurrent series of discussions on rural environ ment will feature researchers pollution and pesticide experts and farmers Topics of interest include pesticide control noise pollution and what farmers should expect from government agencies and from their own rural environment GO TRANSIT BUS SERVICE Highways Minister George Gomme reports a steady growth in commuter use of GO Transit bus last September As a result officials of GO and Gray Coach are planning changes in scheduling for the eastern and northern corridors Passengers carried in the
