council agrees to participate Mrs Perry president of the Newmarket Day Care Centre Advisory Board told council last week Mrs Perry said per cent of the operating costs of the centre which would initially accommodate be tween and children between the ages of two and six years would be paid by the province The town would be expected to pay the remaining per cent Ontario will also pay per cent of the cast of renovating suitable quarters she said but will not pay any capital costs Mrs Perry said an initial esti mate indicated there may be as many as children needing such care in the expanded town of Newmarket She said a similar centre which has been operating in Richmond Hill for a year cost the town council during the first three months of its operations The committee hopes to find a local service club that will purchase a home which can be renovated into a centre Mrs Perry said negotiations are already underway between the committee and a club and that they have a piece of property in mind The committee also hopes church es and clubs will provide funds for other capital expenditures such as fur niture and equipment said the com mittee president The committees written cost for parents will be around 15 weekly depending on the rent the centre must pay It said the cost of operating the centre will range from to per day per child It said some parents will pay the full
