Wednesday The association was holding its second meeting at Stuart Scott pub lic school and had a panel of education experts at the head table including Jack Hadfield Newmarket rep resentative on the York County school board Joe Hodge superintendent board and Walter Willis and Cliff Grant York Coun ty board officials what talent school teachers had as business administrators The question a rose after Mr told the group that the man scheduled to be principal of Rogers Public school the school to be built this sum mer at Eagle Hills has been reassigned because the construction pro gram is three months late Mr Willms ad mitted most principals have been outstanding teachers but he said they also re ceive administrative train ing in the school system If we did hire a minislrative programs on ly he could not provide Ihe leadership necessary in a school he said We like our principals to be teach ers and administrators About 50 people attended the meeting and they fired questions at the panel for over an hour They were told one of the major reasons for the do- lay in the Rogers school construction program next December In response to a question on whether school resource centres and public libraries duplicate facili ties Mr said the school board is looking at school resources can be used by the community He aid an experimental program Is underway be tween the new King Town ship library Metro Toronto schedule Mr Hodge told the meeting the majority of whom seemed to be pub lic school supporters that the only reason for separ ate schools is so we can teach our religion We teach
