pounds of feed than with con ventional dry grain And it is only ihe actual dry matter content that counts in putting on gains Kiln dried corn usually runs about per cent moisture It will take pounds of percent high moisture corn to provide the same weight of nutrients as pounds of corn Not only do we take ill IS difference into account in estimating how imuh weight of grain to feed the hogs or steers but also in calculating how much protein supplement to add to a given amount of grain A big question has been whether high moisture grain should be ted whole or whether it should he ground or conditions in most homes are extremely bad for them To get the longest possible flow ering period we need to do our best to duplicate the grow ing condition found in the greenhouses from which they
