as the old woman and Don Price Peter McMaster Ron Russell Ann Taylor Ron Noble Chris Turcziniak and Cathy The adjudicator said the Bradford students had done a tremendous job of work in or ganizing the overall stage crew They did all the joe- jobs with alacrity Bradford is to be congrat ulated for the billeUing of over two hundred students and directors this past week Everyone spoke highly of shenhorn and Board members held a Drama Demonstration Tuesday evening at the King Edward Hotel Toronto Robert Gill of of T and Hart House gave a demonstra tion on theatre techniques He specifically asked for two members of Out Flew the Web Ron Decent of the Aurora Drama Workshop and Muriel from the Richmond Hill Curtain Club who played Grandma A large number of members from the Northern Area Clubs attended CODL Festival entries MUST be in before the dead line of December Aurora has a possible entry and Rich mond Hill will definitely en ter Titus Turning The other clubs in the Northern area are too busy with productions for their regular season to have the time to spend on a festi val presentation Another problem is the money since it is costly to mount a Festival production Jean Hershenhom has sug gested that Clubs do long- range planning for another season and include a festival production CODL is trying to encourage Canadian play wrights by using their plays as much as possible and giving groups in various areas help to produce Canadian plays It has grants for Clubs pro ducing Canadian plays The lower section of York County Manor was a been of activity last week Festival held at the Bradford District High School Nov The adjudicator Dennis Sweeting considered that the Midland play was extremely well directed held the mood and was also technically very good Best actress award went to Fran Powell a member of he cast of the award winning play Best visual award was given to the entry Voices of Desire the final play of the series Best actor award to Bruce
