businessmen perhaps at an all time low but the outlook is bright for future years This is the general attitude of merchants who are affect ed by summerlong construe tion on one of York Countys most heavily travelled high ways Sharon and bus inessmen and residents with few notable exceptions seem to be patiently accepting the temporary inconvenience of the construction and looking forward to the vast improve ment which is being made on the Third Concession Some merchants have sus tained heavy losses this sum mer because of the closing of Sharon Road S Fer guson owner of a Shell serv ice station and Topaz Coffee Bar north of Newmarket re ports a per cent drop in his coffee shop and gasoline sales He said I couldnt make it financially this year if didnt have the regular amount of car repairs to de pend on TREMENDOUS Mr Ferguson stoically ac cepts this years loss though hoping for a tremendous Im provement to make up for this years deficit calls the construction a much needed
