veteran of Newmarket postal service Leaving his postal service due to a back injury Mr Gill described his former col leagues as a great bunch of guys who really earn their money He spoke of the pos tal carriers of whom he was in charge Mr Gill sustained his back injury while delivering mail In January He fell on ice hurting his back twice within three days When doctors advised him to quit postal carrying he de cided to start his own photog raphy studio Pho tography Mr Gill a past president of the Newmarket explain ed the decision I gradually became more interested in photography as a postal car rier When I finally decided to quit the postal service I had few doubts as to what I would do Since starting professional photography Mr Gill has taken several correspondence courses on photography He will soon graduate from the School of Modern Photogra phy He is currently a mem ber of the Professional of Canada To finance his photography business Mr Gill has work ed parttime for two years in the camera department of Newmarket Drugs in the Plaza Mr Gill said he first ser iously became interested in photography after entering a photo essay for the Newmar ket Post From point he biggest hazard of mail carriers His hardest problem after switch ing jobs has been learning to be a businessman He said Ive got a lot to learn but want to learn it Mr Gill formerly has been provincial and national chair man of the economic affairs He was the first senator in Newmarket Mr Gill came to Newmar ket in because I want ed a good place to raise my kids I thought then that Newmarket rolled up the side walks at 9 pm but I have since changed my mind I soon became active in a few community clubs and found that this is a great place to live Mr Gill has an optimistic attitude about starting
