home of John secretary of the board who resides the Lake Road Two members of the Board Baker awl Norman Mr two mem- tors of the press and about half a dozen ratepayers finally ended up In a classroom with regular procedure in that no minutes of previous meetings have been read for many weeks PUBLIC AND PRESS Mrs Lillian McAdam of Pine Orchard who attended Ike Monday night meeting sUted that the board appeared to resent the presence of the public or press and considered meetings held mostly at the borne of the secretary Mr lacked most of the procedure required at any formal meeting Mr Wesley a mem- tor of the School Board and Mrs Irene Ha- con another member are both opposed to the proposed erection of a senior public school on a site on the 7lh Concession about and half miles south of on the grounds that it will cause hardship to bath children who will have to to trans ported long distances by bus and by the ratepayers who Hill have to bear heavy added cost In transportation and construc tion Mr Is chairman of the boards Transportation Committee He was at home and ho feels that the proposed site Is neither geographically lo cated In the right place or will it be econ omical It Is suggested that the proposed school be a senior public school to accommodate tirades 7 and said Mr at the present time we have about 290 students In the township in this category and It would take three or four extra busses to transport them feel that this action would penalize the residents of the township In that the pro posed school woud be only a short distance from eastern border of the township CENTRAL SITE Two years ago the school board Were negotiating for a arte on the Concession which is a County Road and this would have been far more central and we would have had a cleared county road all the time In the case of the present plan the township council would give no assurance that they would accept the responsibility for the road conditions Mrs Bacon and myself both voted against the present plan Speaking of the lack of reading minutes Mr said I have no quarrel or disagreement with the board if Im beaten on a majority vote but I feel that the rate payers are entitled to know Just how mem bers of the board do vote and without min utes this is impossible i0 Flooded Farms Seek Aid BRADFORD Ontario formers decided Friday to ask Queens to declare parts of York and
