Dragon boat festival Sunday The ninth annual TigerTel Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival will be paddling its way into Milton's Kelso Conservation Area, Sunday (Aug. 12). The event, presented by the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar, will see nearly 40 boat teams competing in races to benefit Halton's Children's Aid Society (CAS). Last year's event saw 1,150 participants and visitors raising $50,000 for those in need in Halton. This year, proceeds will support young people living in the care of the Halton CAS and other local charitable organizations. Besides the competitions, the festival will also feature food, prizes and musical entertainment.
