Pte. Hobbs killed in action Pte. Kenneth Hobbs, Oliver’s Lane, who was recently reported missing has now been reported killed in action. This word has been forwarded to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hobbs.
Pte. Hobbs has been in the service for the past two years and was among the first troops landing on the Normandy coast on D-Day.
Pte. Albert Hoobs, father of the deceased, is a member of the Veterans’ Guard of Canada and is on active duty at Gravenhurst, Ont.
Two brothers, Alfred and Cyril, are on active duty overseas and a sister, Joyce, is with the CWAC and is at present stationed at Ottawa, Canada.
