Second son is reported killed

Word was received in town today of the death in action in Germany of Pte. Alfred Hobbs, son of Pte. and Mrs. A.G. Hobbs, Oliver’s Lane.


Pte. Hobbs is the second son in the family to pay the supreme sacrifice, Pte. Kenneth Hobbs having been killed some months ago.


Pte. A.G. Hobbs, the father, is engaged with the Veteran’s Guard at Gravenhurst. Pte. Cyril Hobbs is overseas and Pte. Joyce Clarabut is with the army in Ottawa. Two boys and two girls are at home.
