Friends of Garth D. Harding will be pleased to learn that he is recovering from his illness and is at Malton Convalescent Hospital after spending the past three months in Christie St. Hospital, Toronto and Toronto East General Hospital.

Description

Rfm. Garth Douglas Harding enlisted with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, 11 June 1940. After training at Camp Borden and Sussex (NB), he was sent to Newfoundland in August 1940, and to England in August 1941. He transferred to R.C.C.S. August 1941, and trained in the Signal Corps and dispatch Riding. He saw enemy action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He received a knee injury. Date of arrival home 8 August 1945. Date of discharge 10 September 1945.
