Pte. M.L. Hancock in Italy hospital
Lindsay, August 29, -- Mr. and Mrs. Perccy Hancock, RR.1 Oakwood, have received word from their son, Pte. Milton Laverne Hancock, from a hospital “somewhere in Italy.” He received flesh wounds in both legs, right arm, and shoulder.
Pte. Hancock received his training at Kingston, Peterboro, Petawawa and went overseas 2 years ago. He served in North Africa and then in Italy.
His brother Bmdr. Verdun Elwood Hancock, has been in the army for three years and is also overseas. A younger brother, Roy Sandford, is stationed with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps at Camp Borden, but for the past few weeks has been on leave to help his father with the harvest.
