ELPHICK, Richard (Rick) December 11, 1955 - June 13, 2012 Heaven received a very precious soul. Richard (Rick) Paul Elphick was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 13, 2012. A joyful gentle giant with a heart of gold, Rick lived a life wrapped in the love of family and faith in God. He will be remembered for his kindness, laughter and passion for music. Rick is the cherished son of Barbara and Jerome Matters, brother of Steven (Paula), Brad (Shelly), Randy (Joanne), Diane (James), Barb (Brian), Kevin (Michelle), Sandra (Ron), and Nanci (Scott). Rick was predeceased by his father Arthur Elphick. Much loved by his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Association. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. S a t u r d a y, J u n e 1 6 , 2 0 1 2 a t St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville. Cremation.
