Local Girl on the Air tonight

Mrs. Jospeh of 14 Division St. town, received a telegram to say her daughter Sgt. Lois Green, C.W.A.C will speak tonight at 9:45 pm eastern wartime over the BBC, short wave of 9.8.25 or 6.11 megacycles. Sgt. Richard Green will also participate on the “Drop in any line” program.


Sgt. Green’s many friends will anticipate hearing her. As she is known well locally this broadcast will be all the more interesting tonight.

Sgt. Green served with the Women’s Army and saw action in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Sgt. Green was mentioned in despatches in February 1945. Sgt. L.A. Green arrived home 29 November 1945.
