the world In recogni tion of her services Korea award ed her a scroll and gold pin Miss Taylor is a missionary of the of the United church of Canada She has spent years in India Vellorfe is one of the two Christian medical colleges there the other being in Delhi under government auspices Miss Taylor has been credited with the high standard of the nursing school at Vellore which compares favorably with those on this continent She organized and developed a fouryear course which leads to a degree in nurs ing Graduates of her school have won an enviable reputation in In dia They are leaders in both mis sion and government hospitals as well as in health departments Miss Taylor spent her first five years in India as a missionary un der the Methodist Board of Miss ions of the United States She was then appointed by the United church of Canada to Korea where she served until After a furlough in Canada Miss Taylor received another appointment this time to India She has been active in the Nurses association in India and four years ago she attended a World Health Organization con ference of nursing educators in Geneva as a represenative of In dia Plan August Tournament On New Tennis
