Newmarket Era and Express Thursday July Centennial Is Boosted In Weekly Radio Show Ihe third successive Mon day night a group of local resi dents gathered in the Lions park to witness the preparations for the towns weekly radio program Aired from Orillia each Sunday from 1 to 2 pm the show which is being sponsored by Slessor Motors Ltd highlights the Centennial preparations Feature artists on each program the members of the New market Citizens band under the direction of William Greig Mas ter of ceremonies is Mel Smith Once again the and Ste- comedy team presented a short skit A McNeil was chairman of the special sewage committee gave a progress re port on arrangements for the towns proposed sewage disposal plant The committee and engineer have met with the genera man ager of the Ontario water resourc es commission regarding the pro posed sewage treatment plant and trunk sewers he said The com mittee has held another meeting to work out certain problems in connection with the financing of these works The OWRC has indicated that it will approve the inclusion of trunk sewers in the agreement with the town the reeve said The committee solicitor and en gineer are studying various pro blems and a report and recom mendation will be presented to council at the earliest possible date The OWRC has indicated its willingness to enter into an a- with the town for the of the
