afternoon in the Theatre at pm until school re convenes on September 3 The idea behind these merch ants matinees is to publicize the allday opening of most of New markets stores on Wednesday and the allday closing on Mon day Parents are invited to leave their kiddies at the Theatre in matron care at no cost to them selves while they do their shopp ing Special childrens programs have been selected for showing at the merchants matinee and the performance usually ends around 345 pm Should the show run longer the youngsters get rest- less and they lose much of the enjoyment Mr Holmes manager of the Theatre has undertaken to supply the merchants with four means of advertising the allday opening on Wednesdays This fourfold campaign includes the Newmarket Era and Express the radio station at Richmond Hill daily from to noon Monday through Friday and pm to 1 pm on Sat urdays the local sound truck cir culating from Aurora to ville each Tuesday morning and the theatre screen Probably the best advertising medium is not even included in the above That is the kiddies themselves They are the best boosters for anything that gives them a free show Local Girls Have Chance In Dairy Princess
