clear for BEER PARLORS and COCKTAIL BARS Vote dangerous an d stop Promise yourself to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as yon are about your own from the Optimist Creed We live in a changing world Among other things human be ings are born to replace those who die This means that youth is continually coming into action with a fresh purpose and ambi tion to make a better world This is the way it should be However there is nothing more important than to give these young people the opportunity to prepare them selves for this effort It is not always as easy as it may seem to make things better because the good and the bad are too often so mixed up together that it is very hard to separate them Russian Communism teaches that the only effective way to change things is by viol ence The only trouble with this means is that the good as well as the bad is usually destroyed and so there is no improvement Todays leaders are therefore under an obligation to help our young people to distinguish the good from the bad and to study to change the bad without destroy- I the good Then they will be 1 able to make a worthy contribu tion to progress However todays young people are not satisfied just to sit back and learn from their leaders but many are stepping out on their own in the right direction Proof of this was shown recently at a meeting of high school students These young people drew up a set of rules for youth applicable to todays conditions and from these they compiled Ten Com mandments Here they are Stop and think before you drink 2 Dont let your parents down they
