sanitary engineering division of the department of health was ex pected to be at the dairy this Week The mayor said there was no doubt that a certificate of approv al would be given shortly He that he had inspected the along with the reeve and thru Maurice Hall of Hillsdale King was read He said Since the issuance of annual certificates of approval to pasteurization plants as reouired bv provisions in the Public Health Act is the responsibility of the Provincial Department of Health whose inspectors visit the dairies with this in mind the local board of health of the York County Health Unit feels that the Provin cial Department of Health will decide what action is advisable in the present situation The Health Unit appreciates being kept fully informed of such situations by the Provincial departments recommendations The two local dairies were in spected in December regarding the issuing the certificate approval The report on this was received by Dr King in January and referred to the January meeting of the Health Unit board Councillor said that as a former industrialist he took a different view He said that the department recommends certain things and that it does not issue certificates until they are done They dont dose down the dairies he said have run a lot of plants subject to department inspec tions continued Councillor They dont close them down He said that the his appeal to the County Judge he told the Era and Ex press yesterday In a letter from Clerk Wes ley Brooks Mr Armstrong was advised that his appeal was presented at a special meeting or the court of revi sion on Friday Feb 15 and the following resolution was passed That having ascer tained that the court of revi sion had no authority to open appeals on assessments after Dee this court resolves to rescind the motion of January lo allow a 10- day extension of appeals and thus takes no action on appeals made after Dec 30 1956 Mr Armstrong appeared be fore the of revision January and presented a
