Trinity church Parochial Guild met last Tuesday night at the home of Mrs Ken Rose A large donation was given to the church and plans were laid for the cele bration of the clubs birth day on January in the Parish Hall On January Queen Mary held their annual Christmas party at the home of Mr and Mrs Cecil Brown Our Write Dear Mr Editor have received a letter from Mrs Kenneth Miller of Avenue Road complaining about canine crises in her neighborhood Since the question is of general inter est to the public may I ask your indulgence to permit me to an swer through the medium of your journal My Dear Mrs Miller The question you me been a hot potato or should I say hot dog for quite some time In permitting dogs to run loose during the winter months and tying them up during the flowergarden season we chose two years ago a happy me dium a compromise between thr dog lovers and the garden lov ers It is the price you have to pay for living in an organized com munity You simply have to al low your neighbor to tread on your toes a little because you in your turn cannot help but to do the same thing to him Yes it is correct that the police have no authority to stop dogs from running loose during winter months But if as you say the said dogs are charging the children then it becomes a matter for the police investi gate and am quite sure they will not refuse to do so You say that you are not un- but you draw the line when about dogs use your front lawn as a lovers lane Ordinarily I would not have the courage to comment on such a complaint let alone to suggest a remedy However since I have had the pleasure of know ing you and knowing you have a sense of humor and since you apparently expect me to do or at least say something on the subject then may I help by rem iniscing When I was young and foolish and a property owner objected to my parking on his premises with a lady of my choice I moved elsewhere Catch on Be that objector By the way may I also suggest that this situation could be of considerable help when lectur ing on the birds and bees sub ject Yours sincerely -i- A Member Town Council Mrs Norman Maple is the proud mother of the New Years baby at York County
