Gwillimbury townships inaugural council meeting was held at Sharon on Monday In stalled were Longford Pegg Deputyreeve Walter Rate and new councillors Angus Har rison Sheldon Walker and Charles Crone A short meeting of the retiring 1955 council was held first John Rye gave ah address on his retirement as reeve as well as councillors who were de feated in the election George Richardson and Irvine Rose both of the district The retiring members and others paid tribute to the leader ship of Mr Rye during his six years as reeve of the township and to his service as Warden of York County in The new
