Keswick Section Trustees of Keswick school section were authorized by a meeting of ratepayers last week to proceed at once with con struction of a threeroom addi tion at rear of the present school building on what was formerly the Keswick ball field- Earlier this year the trustees had been authorized by rate payers to build a tworoom ad dition Before the architect had plans and specifications com pleted a new survey showed that two extra rooms would not be sufficient so planning was started for the three rooms There was not any argument by ratepayers when the trustee boards plans were laid in front of the meeting except from the standpoint that the plans pos sibly should have been for four additional rooms The architects plans are now in front of the Department of Education building lives by drowning in Ontario in The Red society is using every possible means to make everyone conscious of water safety With the cooperation of 35 Ferguson Tractor local municipalities and service clubs they would like to attention the many ways that lives may be spared Water safety week will be de clared in many municipalities throughout Ontario this week The Keswick Optimist club has been asked to assist in this pro gram This club has given leadership in swimming instruc tion every year for several years A qualified Red Cross instructor is hired and classes are arranged at suitable beaches between Youngs Harbor to Jacksons Pi Any permanent or summer resident who would like their children take advantage of this course is asked to get in touch with Mr Jack or Mr Sid Arthur Keswick It has been the feeling of the club that the local children do not take advantage of this op portunity and this years plans are laid to have the instructor teach the scouts and cubs as ad ditional classes Other classes will be arranged if enough peo ple are interested To assist the instructor part time or full time instructors are necessary They need not be qualified for Red Cross certifi cates
