News Of North York Mount albert Excellent Softball Seen By Zephyr Sports Day Crowd Even the heat j iced when Chadwick doubled could not spoil the enjoyment of j a bright sports day for Zephyr community on Saturday as the full program of events was pre sented The community park was wellfilled for the afternoon events with an even larger at tendance packing the grounds for the evening program after the final Softball game- Five girl entrants in the beauty contest for the title of Miss Scott Township stood up to the rigors of an elimination by applause to show an ultimate winner in 17yearold Lois Har rison daughter of a farm family alongside the village There were three entrants in the contest for oldtime fiddlers and the crowd of onlookers en joyed their efforts fully Three pickup teams of district schoolboys conducted a ball con test of their own while the fans enjoyed the provided by five teams from the Lake league Eventual first prize money went to the Newmarket
