Jack Crosby champs Touch football league seeking new players The North Oakville Men's Touch Football Association (NOMTFA) is seeking new players for its summer-fall league. The league, entering its 31st year, is open to men at least 30 years old who live in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and the surrounding area. Games are played Saturday mornings at Crusader Park, located on Ninth Line in Oakville. No experience or football ability is necessary to play in the league. Players are assigned to new teams each year in an effort to maintain competitive balance while focusing on the primary goal of promoting fun and friendship through touch football. Each player is guaranteed to play at least half of each game, and all teams make the playoffs following a 10-game regular season that starts Aug. 18. The championship game will be played Nov. 24. Registration is $130 before the early-bird deadline of July 31, and $150 after. Fees cover referees, field rentals, shirts, insurance and ancillary costs.
